Description
The EDI-USA® Rifle Resistant Ballistic Helmet system consists of three (3) parts:
- EDI-USA® High-Cut Helmet Base: Tested to NIJ III-A ambient ballistic resistance. Includes comfortable anti-trauma padding, and adjustable head ratchet knob system.
- EDI-USA® Rifle Resistant Helmet Cover, Front: Tested to resist up to 1 shot of rifle round 7.62x51 M80, or 1 shot of rifle round 5.56x45 M193.
- EDI-USA® Rifle Resistant Helmet Cover, Back: Tested to resist up to 1 shot of rifle round 7.62x51 M80, or 1 shot of rifle round 5.56x45 M193.
The helmet is equipped with a durable chinstrap with quick-release function to enable immediate removal with one hand. There is space around both ears for headphones or other over-the-ear audio communication devices. The helmet is fitted with two (2) picatinny side rails, one (1) front NVG mount, and a dual-attached external bungee.
